After his death his son Samuel Colgate renamed it as “Colgate and company” and it launched it’s first toothpaste in 1873. Colgate is spanning it’s empire in 200 countries but it publicly listed in two countries i.e, India and America. p&g  is the main competitor of Colgate and engaged in many fierce marketing  battles in past.
